Happiness is a state of mind, you control if you are going to be happy or not.

You control how you feel, what you think, who you allow into your life, you are in control of everything that will contribute or take away from how happy you are.  Go through your day looking for the positive. Smile more, don’t let one bad thing be dragged out all day.  Do things that will add to your happiness and where you want to be.

Slow down and enjoy the life you’re in.  Is this the life you want?  Is this the happiest you can be?  If you don’t like where you’re at in life, change it. Take control. If you don’t like the negativity around you, surround yourself with more positive people.  Make goals you know you will work for.  Set yourself up for greatness and happiness, not failure.

Be the happiness you look for in others.  Don’t wait for what you want to come to you, go out and get it.  Don’t wait for tomorrow, or the weekend, or the summer; make the most of where you are now.

Everyone wants and deserves happiness, and surrounding yourself with positive people will give you that.  If you can’t find those people to surround yourself with then be that person for yourself and everyone around you.

“Balance is key.  In everything you do.  Dance all night and practice yoga the next day.   Eat chocolate when your heart wants it and salad when your body needs it.  Wear high heels on Saturday and walk barefoot on Sunday.  Live high and low.  Move and stay still.  Embrace all sides of who you are.  Be brave, bold, spontaneous and loud and let that complement your abilities to find silence, patience, modesty, and peace.  Aim for balance.  Make your own rules and follow your own path and don’t let anybody tell you how to live according to theirs.” – Rachel Brathen, author of “Yoga Girl”.
