Circle baseball players are just itching to play a real game.

The team’s first game was scheduled for March 27, but after a thunderstorm, the fields were on the edge of being too wet. The Rose Hill grounds crew unfortunately left the sprinklers on during the varsity field, which caused the varsity games to be cancelled.

Luckily for junior varsity, they were able to play and triumphantly came home with 17-2 and 14-2 victories.

The baseball games at home against El Dorado on Thursday, March 30, were cancelled due to weather. Varsity had scheduled to make up their game against Rose Hill on April 3rd, but once again got rained out.

With baseball looking caught in a plague, they yet again were rained out on Monday, where they team was scheduled to play their make up game against Rose Hill.

Frustration builds in the dugout.

“The team is frustrated, we all jsut want to play because that is what we have been working hard to do,” sophomore centerfielder Brayden Ketley said.

“I hope we get to play Thursday. If we don’t, just practice hard and look to the next week,” Ketley said.

So who knows when we will see our Thunderbirds take the field, but when they do, they will be ready.
