A new beginning, a clean slate, that is exactly what Circles football team is getting. New coach Logan Coltheir brings new ideas to the program. He is the new Advanced weights teacher and head football coach.

Coach Coltheir has quite the football background, he has been playing since 3rd grade, played through high school at Topeka High and in college played as the hornets wide receiver. He graduated from Emporia in 2016. Coltheir told Andover Leader that his first priorities will be to “introduce himself to the players, get to work in the weight room, and developing fundamentals this past summer.”

Football players state that they “love” Coltheir, Junior Lucas Scott says “Coach is more positive, and more relatable.” Scott states that Coltheir helps bring rising levels of competitiveness, and improved skill to the team.”

Matt Ingrim, defensive coordinator has been with the program for four years. Ingrim says that “coach Coltheir comes from a winning environment, I think that helps but the fact that he is just a genuine guy is what really puts it all together.” Ingrim said that “this year we’ve added culture to our program. Practices are flowing, going smoother, and faster.”

On Friday, September First, we will see how our players have grown together and improved over the past few months.
