Every teacher is different, and has different classroom rules.  Therefore do not take advantage of this article.  Respect the teacher’s decisions, and their classroom rules.

Circle High School Student Handbook

On page 20 of the Circle High School Student Handbook, it states. “The use of electronic communication devices by students on school property during the school day (8:07 am – 3:05 pm) is allowed during passing periods and their lunch period only.”  Some teachers such as Staci Brown, world history,  does not allow cell phones.  If there is an emergency call, she will allow you to answer, but as soon as the call is over the phone goes away again.

Teachers That Allow Cell Phones

These teachers will allow to have your cell phone out, but absolutely not during lectures.  Only school related, no social media, and no texting.  Leanna McKee, music teacher, allows cell phones to record vocals, but not during rehearsal.  Matt Ingrim allows people to listen to music while in the weight room.  Ryan Tarletsky, Bo Horyna, Wendy Tien, Sherri Terrell, Logan clothier, and Daniel Guthrie do allow cell phones but again no social media and no texting.  For school purposes only.

Teachers That Do Not Allow Cell Phones

Some teachers go by the Student Handbook and absolutely do not allow cell phones whatsoever.  Some teachers may even have “Cell Phone Jail.”  Where the teacher may have a certain place where the cells phone goes in the classroom.  The following teachers absolutely do not allow cell phones, Annie Gilliland, Linda Pyle, Greg Rose, Daniel Delzer, Marty Hays, Raylin Ledbetter, Dan Rose, Staci Brown, Brian Henry, Jennifer McKinsey, Doug Odom, Les Zoch, and Trey Harrison.

Teachers That Give Technology Brakes

Although there are some teachers who do like to give technology brakes.  You may not get them every class though, so don’t expect a technology break every single class.  Justin Ralph, Patricia Savage, Karen Graham, Dalinda Hamilton, Michele White, Sara Lincomb, Shelly Nibarger, Ashley Deaver, Julie Finneran, and Keil Jacobs all give technology brakes.
