Celebration, an all-girls show choir at Circle High. The group of 19 girls is lead by director Leanne Mckee and can sing their hearts out. But they do more than just sing, they have fun!

“The Blue Valley Festival is an annual event Circle goes to each year to get advice and showcase our talent.” says sophomore Katie Webb. This is Webbs first year in the show choir and so far she has had nothing but positive vibes from being a part of the group.

The experience was something else as the girls traveled to Kansas City to have a good time and sing a little as they went. A few highlights were getting to go to the mall, attending a theatre show, eating excellent food, staying in a hotel, and spending quality time together as a group.

“The best part of the trip was the food, it was amazing.” said sophomore Liberty Collins. Collins loved the whole trip and said the only downside was not being able to leave the hotel rooms when they needed too. Overall she thought it was an amazing trip. While there was a lot of fun to be had there was a negative and it was a big one.

McKee, the head director of all choirs including Celebration got extremely sick. This was a big let down to the group as she couldn’t attend the trip. Although it was a let down they persevered through the hardship and still had a successful trip with the assistant/ band director and choreographer leading. So make sure to keep an eye out for this talented group of singing girls as they do special things the rest of the year at Circle High.
